out to them.

The Roma settlement of Szentjobb in western Romania, like most Roma settlements, is plagued by prejudice and poverty. Alcoholism, domestic abuse, teen pregnancy, crime, and superstition are a part of everyday life.

Without someone to help them change, Roma children are destined to enter the same cycle of hopelessness and spiritual darkness that has enslaved their parents. The Gospel can set them free. But “how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”
